The SP600 is a highly reliable analogue scanning probe which is ideal for profile scanning and feature measurement on CMM’s. The SP600 scanning probes allow large amounts of data to be rapidly gathered for inspection and digitising purposes. Axis movement in each direction (X, Y and Z) is ±1 mm (in all orientation positions on a PH10) and stylus lengths up to 300 mm can be used with the SH600 EXT stylus holder.
The SP600 uses standard Renishaw M4 thread styli.
The SH600 provides overtravel protection, and allows rapid and repeatable interchange between stylus configurations. This can be automated by using the SCR600 stylus change rack or alternatively,
individual SCP600 stylus change ports mounted to a MRS.
Two variants of SP600 are available: SP600M for multiwired autojoint mounting to a Renishaw PH10M motorized probe head and the SP600Q which is fixed directly to the CMM Quill for maximum rigidity.
The probe design gives an excellent self centring figure of <5 μm; a measure of its ability to return to zero mechanically when not in contact with the part. This low figure, although irrelevant to the probe’s accuracy, enables the use of small deflections and therefore low contact forces. The probe output always gives its precise position relative to the probe body.
Low mass, high structural stiffness and friction-free viscous damping provide excellent dynamic
performance.

SH600 STD / SH600 EXT stylus holders
The SH600 stylus holder provides overtravel protection and allows rapid and repeatable interchange between stylus configurations. This can be automated by using the SCR600 stylus change rack or, alternatively, individual SCP600 stylus change ports mounted on the Renishaw MRS modular rack system.
There are two variants of Stylus Holder: SH600 STD and SH600 EXT. The difference being the stylus carrying capacity. The STD can carry up to 200 mm and the EXT up to 300 mm long stylus.
